I ll assume for the moment that the input voltage of the inverter is forgiving some will run on anything from 12v nominal to 24v nominal without a break.
The solution that could work would be a 12v solar panel connected to an inverter feeding the original mains powered charger or the laptop charger but that s another issue.
However you wouldn t be able to have this solar panel spread open while riding so we understand why it s only made for direct charging.
The downside is that the boulder 30 is heavier 6 6 lb vs.
Divide the wattage of the solar panel by the voltage of the battery to get the number of amps your charge connector needs to handle.
To generate enough power to charge the battery on an e bike the solar panels you select need to be a fair size and with a decent wattage output.
Then run wires from the battery to the charge connector making sure to match the positive and negative poles.
However if you were like me found an awesome deal of low voltage solar panel on the web maybe second hand and want to charge your e bike battery directly us.
It works but the flexible nomad 27 panel panel that comes in the kit is too floppy to ride and charge at the same time.
