Need help replacing a single solar panel that was damaged by a golf ball.
Solar panels will they withstand golf balls.
Solar panels and golf balls.
If they did then you can expect to have broken panels and tesla would be the worst company to have to ask for a personal request of replacing one panel.
Fwiw we have their salt water cousins and caimans down here in panama.
Unfortunately those nets are pretty tough and may cause enough shadowing on the panels depending on how far away they are installed.
Although solar panels are not tested for whether or not they can withstand a strike from a golf ball they are tested for hail damage.
Unusually large hail storms can indeed damage solar panels but solar panels are designed and engineered to generally withstand hail the size of golf balls or smaller.
Those dogs can have my golf balls but i prefer to keep mine right where they are at.

The exsisting system 1500w is 7 x 220w canadian solar panels.
I am getting conflicting information some suppliers installers say it should be ok to replace the 220w with the 250w.
While golf ball strikes are not part of required testing solar panels are tested to withstand 1 inch hail striking the panel at over 50 mph.
You can most likely see if golf balls have already left marks on your roof.
Well after one year we have 5 panels cracked due to golf ball damage.
Solar frontier a solar energy company based in japan announced that its s series solar panels have passed tests demonstrating they can withstand the impact of 45mm wide hail.
Most solar panels are tested using an impact from the hail of 1 inch in diameter striking at a speed of 50 mph.
We live on a golf course and because i am an idiot we purchased 31k worth of solar panels.
Imo living on a golf course and installing anything pv system low impact windows patio tile etc that can get damaged by an errant golf ball would require a very comprehensive and expensive insurance policy.
This closely approximates a golf ball so in theory the resilience of a panel to hail should give you some peace of mind.
It appears canandian solar no longer produce a 220w and now only manufacture 250w version.
The salesman said that the panels can withstand golf balls.
